This was such a great book. Not at all what I was expecting, given that its subject is not a light one: assisted suicide and the legal repercussions of it all.

The story was told in a refreshing, genuine, and clever way, the characters were ironic and flawed but in a benevolent way, also the villains were "nice". It made me laugh and think, it had a deeper, serious layer under a light hearted facade that was very much needed.

Definitely not the usual dark thriller, but not without many twists and turns that made the story very captivating, and kept me guessing until the final chapter.

Recommended!

Loved this book! Could not put it down! Such an original and timely concept.

Belinda Bauer is a fantastic writer of mysteries with a twist and Exit is a superb example. The Exiteers are a group of usually old fuddy duddys that are there to witness how other old fuddy duddies exit this mortal coil. But Felix, aged 75, a widower and father of poor, lost Jamie, accompanied by Amanda, 25, to witness the suicide of Skipper manage to kill the wrong man. Tracked by the police headed by Calvin Bridges, this is a sly and funny murder mystery. Bauer never just writes. Every sentence has a purpose. A wonderful novel. Read it.

Felix Pink is one of many Exitters who keep the elderly company as they depart this life, a little early. But whether by accident, or sinister purpose... the wrong man is dead.

It's up to Felix, and the police to find out who or whom the real criminals are.

The mystery here is good, lots of angles to be played... and the book is also rich in dry and dark humour, as well as heart, and nobility, and loyalty.

I really enjoyed this. I always enjoyed Belinda's books.

Well I just loved this book!
An excellently crafted story with a very interesting plot that didn't go the way I was expecting after reading the synopsis, but in the best way!
Belinda has also written some wonderful characters! Every one was just right, but I may have fell a little bit in love with Felix!
I don't want to say anymore because I think going in knowing as little as possible will only make it better, but honestly, I really highly recommend this for everyone!
