Charming cozy mystery with a lovable protagonist, Felix Pink, an elderly man who quietly supports terminally ill people who want to end their lives. One time it goes all wrong, and Felix is determined to try to make things right. Just a lovely, upbeat book. Glad to have stumbled upon it.

Felix Pink is 75, retired and spends most of his spare time rating his neighbour's gardens out I'd ten. He also has an occasional part time job and when it goes horrendously wrong, his life is turned upside down. We follow the story from the viewpoints of Felix, the family affected by the error and the police investigation and it's as much about the hugely enjoyable and interesting characters as it is about the excellent and somewhat unusual plot. The sensitive subject matter means it could be difficult reading for some but there are some lovely comedic moments mixed in (one incident over a tulip highlighted how petty people can be!). Very highly recommended and a great addition to an already excellent portfolio of stories from Belinda Bauer.

3.5 stars- this was one of the subscription picks for October from my library. For the most part I enjoyed the book until I got toward the end. I felt things got a little ridiculous, and Felix as an Exiteer seemed a bit unbelievable to me, but overall this was a fun read
