3.5. Not 100 procent my kind of thriller/who-dun-it but really loved some parts in the book

This was my first book by this author, but not my last. Really enjoyed this. There were a couple of times that I actually laughed out loud even though this is a murder mystery. It was a slower pace but in a good way and I didn't know where the story was headed so it kept me interested until the end.

Warning: suicide Almost gave up on it, but I'm glad I didn't. Sad, but it did became farcical in the last third. A suitable and fitting ending, but bittersweet. Wonderful job intertwining the lives of the characters.

With thanks Belinda Bauer, Random House UK, Transworld Publishers and NetGalley for the ARC of Exit.

This is the first book by Belinda Bauer I have read. I intend to read her previous novels now. There are many instances of clever humour intertwined throughout an interesting plot. The character development is wonderful. The beginning of the book challenged and questions the lack of legislation allowing for dignified departures. I didn’t anticipate the ending. It is a great read.
