I won a copy of this book through Goodreads First Reads, and I really wish I'd looked closer when I entered, because this book is TERRIFYING.
The two characters, Wise Dog and Jimmi, have faces that look like the killer's mask in the Scream movies. Except actually scary!
This is supposed to be a children's book, but I won't read it to my children because 1. the characters are terrifying (the animals are fairly cute), and 2. the story doesn't make much sense. Most of the time the poems don't even rhyme or have a good rhythm/flow.
Overall, this is a book that will be leaving my house as soon as humanely possible. Hopefully it's next owner won't be quite so terrified.
