Like 5 stars for part 1, 3 stars for part 2. Evens out to a 4 overall. Part 2 did have some interesting parts but overall I found a bit meh other than my love for Miss Jo, who's fantastic throughout. Part 1 was fantastic, very entertaining/gripping.

This book was interesting. There were some unexpected twist which is always makes for a fun time. I liked how the coloring changed with the mood of the scene. Characters were very expressive which is always a plus. I will say I didn't walk away with a favorite character but I did enjoy reading it. At times the book was hard to put down!

This is a really dark and twisted story, but with so much comedy interjected. The entire premise, a prude who tries some Harriet-the-spy business at a brothel, only to become the brothel’s Miss Don’t-Touch-Me girl??!! Amazing. Illustrations are truly delightful. The plot is shocking, great twists and turns. There’s true character development. Highly recommend

Interesting and slightly shocking, I really didn't expect any of the turns the plot of this graphic novel took. Definitely a bleak story that cares not for the redemption of its characters. Would spark excellent discussions.

A mixed bag. I assumed the entirety of this story was going to be about Blanche getting revenge for her sister Agatha's murder. And the first two chapters were, but then we went somewhere else. And unsatisfying ending but it also kind of tracks. Poor Blanche didn't end up any better off than she did at the beginning. I was also surprised that she went to killing so quickly. It didn't quite track for me that she got so ruthless. The story overall was ok to meh. We jumped around a lot and the latter two chapters didn't feel like they added so much to the initial tale. Artwork took some warming up to, but I liked it by the end.

I truly had no idea what I was getting myself into when I grabbed this book off the shelf at the library. Book one, as many reviewers have stated, is a rather fun, farcical adventure of Blanche delving into the world of high-class prostitution in order to solve her sister's murder. The second book was...well I don't even know what it was. It felt like a completely separate story, and not a good one. The plot was flat and drawn out unnecessarily, and the ending, if you can even call it an ending, was just downright awful. I know there can't always be a happy ending, but even if this wasn't a happy ending, it just didn't feel satisfying or even like a real conclusion at all.
