This is a really enjoyable read. Highly entertaining, it's a real page turner - that may be a cliché but it's true - it's an action packed novel with lots of humour and adventure. The comedy is real laugh out loud stuff at times, and other parts are witty, observational humour.
There's a bit of violence but it's an integral part of the story line and it's not too graphic. There's a 'will they/won't they' aspect to the main characters relationship, which keeps you guessing til the end.
Looking forward to the sequel! ;-)

Suspicious of books with all 5 star reviews? Well this one deserves them. The subject matter of assassins, international terrorism plots and the war against fascism couldn't possibly be 'spit your tea across the room' funny, but this is. I loved it, and found myself quoting passages to bewildered family members.

Follow the very inept Jake through various scrapes, as he uses his (less than effective) deadly abilities of corporate speak, sulking and sarcasm to keep himself, his over ambitious girlfriend and other distinctly eccentric friends alive. Although to be honest, the superior combat skills of an Israeli secret agent do have quite a lot to do with it, not that Jake would ever admit that.

Some of the pop cultural references may be a little over the heads of those not from the UK, but those that know our odd ball home well, will thoroughly enjoy this one.
