This book was pretty much the definition of "fine." The FL was given a lot of exploration but the ML was so one note it was disappointing. He had next to 0 personality which I didn't understand. His only aspects were rich and mysterious which .. really aren't traits.
the fact that Sadie dies was a) not surprising but b) not the emotional impact I believe the author wanted. Also the FL was just like "welp I guess I'll move on with my life!" And that was that. Definitely a bizarre act III that felt like a hastily written hallmark movie

🏝Beautiful island escape, handsome hotel owner, and an emotional adventure…

You will need a box of tissues by your side when reading. 🗳 This book had me laughing 😄, swooning 😍, and crying 😭. I loved every minute of it. 💖🥲 It’s a beautiful journey of self discovery and the heartbreaking truth of why there is a journey in the first place. 💔

This story is about Marin who has never taken a risk living life in the safe zone. When her wild younger sister surprises her with a weekend sister’s trip to a tropical island. 🌺 Marin is shoved out of her comfort zone once she finds out her sister isn’t coming…

sooooOoOooOoooo good oh my god! i’m filled with warmth and love and i am just.... it was good!

not that i needed a reminder but the love between sisters really just shakes me up and dealing with grief never becomes something you can get used to. another book to remind me how love and anger and sadness can all team up and realize what having love in your life is like.

the adventure and travel in this book really made me happy too and just realizing that life must be lived and should inspire you. it doesn’t have to be with travel but like it was such a nice reminder that there’s a whole world out there that we don’t know about unless we go out and see it.

libby hubscher really wrote such a soft, warm, and sweet book and i loved being able to read it. dealing with grief can sometimes feel tough but this book made it understanding and hopeful to start again and open up.

ugh loved it just so damn good

Didn’t really feel like a romance. It was just mainly sad and the romance felt like a second thought and was really undeveloped. Kinda disappointed as the title, cover and synopsis present a completely different story.

The comments about being the type of person to wear a one piece really irritated me as it felt a little like body shaming. And Sadie is one of the most irritating, selfish characters I’ve read (although I understand some of the reasons for being like this). She gave her sister no credit whatsoever despite her having literally given up her future for her to just treat her really badly which didn’t sit right with me.
