2.75 stars?

I am glad that I read this book because I really wanted to, but I'm also glad that its over. It put me in a reading slump and took me a long time to read it. It took a significant amount of time, nearly halfway through the book, for me to be able to distinguish between the three point of views. I went into it without reading the synopsis, but was so confused as to who the characters were supposed to be and what was going on that I had to go back and read the synopsis to give myself some sort of idea as to when and where it is all taking place. I also felt like it took at least halfway through the book for anything interesting to happen. There is also a lot of the story that goes unsaid, I was hoping to get more answers from this book, but instead have many of the same questions and more on top of that.

So good. SO GOOD!!! I know reviews are mixed about this book, but I personally loved it. I read the 'The Handmaids Tale' close to 20 years ago, and it's always stayed with me. When the TV Show came out, I watch and loved that. I have been waiting for this book F-O-R-E-V-E-R!!

I won't go into any details here since so many other reviewers have done it already, but if you read the first book, and you watch/have watched the Hulu series, then you'll definitely want to read this. You may love it, you may hate it, but regardless, you should read it. It answers so many questions.

This book answered some questions that I had once reading the handmaid's tale. I loved being able to see the different perspectives of each character from the beginning, the outside, and growing up in Gilead. It also ties back in all the storylines.
