This book was a solid 4 stars up until the whole fiasco with Priss. I hate miscommunication tropes and it frustrated me to no end. With quite literally a single sentence, Lucy could have explained the situation to Catherine and 50 pages of conflict could have been avoided. I thought the end was cute and there were definitely some post-Priss writing I enjoyed, but I feel like the book could honestly have ended with the publishing of Lucy's book. Regardless it was an enjoyable read and it had the perfect pace of slow burn romance for me (in that its not slow at all, but gives you the impression that its slow).

The description of this series pandered to my interest perfectly. The writing was totally adequate, the characters were well rounded, and there were lots of good descriptions of embroidery. But it just didn't grab me.

I felt like the book lost quite a bit of tension because the two fmcs were together so early in the book.

Chato, a velocidade que as coisas acontecem me incomodou, e não consegui me sentir investida no romance
