This was a cute, light read. I didn’t read the first book in this series, but that didn’t effect my experience at all. I enjoyed the relationship between the main characters, although it was a little insta-love. Also, the first “romantic” scene was not great. It was formulaic and cheesy and really took me out of the book. I enjoyed the writing, apart from that scene. Also, I didn’t love the epilogue ending with a pregnancy. I know that’s common, but it’s just not my cup of tea.
Overall, I thought this a a fun, quick read that will likely appeal to most readers interested in this genre.

I came across this book at random and immediately, after reading the blurb, wanted to pick it up. It turned out to be such a lovely story, exactly what I needed to get my mind off things.

It definitely helped that the male protagonist, Ryan, is a baseball player (I got a sweet spot for sports romances). Currently wallowing in self-pity since he‘s missing the playoffs due to an injury, he decided to visit his family in the small town of Kissing Creek. It would seem nothing‘s out of the ordinary, but the town‘s book club has picked up a spicy read that‘s keeping everyone awake. So Ryan confronts the librarian and person responsible for this month’s choice, Sloane - and oh boy, the banter and chemistry, you guys. I just love these two. In the beginning, they do not really like each other, but you can tell there‘s just something in the air.

„Kissing Games“ is such a lighthearted novel with incredibly loveable characters, and I don‘t mean just the protagonists. It‘s not just your regular rom-com; this book is so refreshing. While I say lighthearted, it still brings a lot of depth and positivity to it. The writing and split narrative indeed add to this, giving us an insightful view of the characters and plot.

[While I received an eARC through Grey's Promotions, this is my honest opinion.]

This book wasn't for me. Sloane made me cringe. She was always wearing dinosaur clothes and I just couldn't get into it. It felt more childish and cheesy rather then endearing or quirky. Ryan was not very interesting. I just couldn't believe these two would like each other.

Absolutely charming!

Stefanie London is a new-to-me author and Kissing Games had me hooked with a rogue llama and a steamy book club pick sparking a hilarious meet-cute.

I adored Sloane and Ryan's story. Heartfelt, emotional yet lighthearted, fun and witty, steamy and swoony, a fantastic cast of characters, and an autumnal theme that would be a perfect Halloween romance read.

Kissing Games (Kissing Creek, #2) can absolutely be read as a stand-alone. I didn't even know there was a previous book, Kissing Lessons (Kissing Creek, #1) but I will be going back to check it out!

Very enjoyable read.

While I admit it started off a little slow, it picked up in no time. The banter between Ryan & Sloane was great and will have you laughing out loud.

Definitely enjoyed this return to Kissing Creek.

Kissing Games is the second book in the Kissing Creek series by Stefanie London. I read this as a standalone and did not have any trouble keeping up. This was a fun, steamy, and emotional story that will capture you in the beginning.
Ryan is an MLB pitcher who has gone back to his hometown of Kissing Creek to recover from a torn ACL. He thought staying with his parents in his childhood home would be boring but soon found out otherwise. He discovered the new librarian in town had chosen a steamy romance for the book club that month therefore his parents were doing things he did not want to know about or hear. He was determined to meet the librarian and tell her it was an inappropriate book for the town. Sloane had moved around her entire life as the daughter of a military family and wanted a place to settle down and grow roots. She loves being a librarian and loves the people in the small town of Kissing Creek. With Ryan’s help, she meets more people and starts new friendships, which are important to her. Ryan and Sloane both have their futures planned out and a relationship between them would be impossible. Can they find a middle ground that will allow them to have a future together?
The book was fun, and the characters were wonderful. I really enjoyed seeing Ryan and Sloane’s relationship grow and them finding a way to make things work for them. This was a fantastic book and the perfect book for a quiet day of reading.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sloane and Ryan are my new favorite couple. The friends to lovers trope is one of my favorites and kissing games by Stefanie London is just that. The couple's chemistry and banter is palpable. This is definitely a must-read if you need a light, easy rom-com.

Read if you love: sports, easy romance, witty banter

3.5 stars! This was a pretty easy read. It was nice, sweet and had a Halloween loving librarian. I loved Sloane and Ryan and had a great time with this read. I would read more from the kissing creek series but this may be my favorite.

After reading the first book in this series I was excited to get to this one. While I did enjoy it, I will say that it was not my favorite of the two. I liked Sloan as the heroine (although there was a dinosaur obsession that I could have done with less of), there were a few times I felt her really relatable. I also liked Ryan as the hero. I loved being back in Kissing Creek, and I thought the premise was cute. I feel like it was done well, but I just didn't connect to it from the first page like in book one. There were some really fun, and cute moments.

Who knew a steamy book club pick would be a great meet cue for sexy baseball pitcher Ryan and quirky dinosaur loving Sloane. When Ryan comes home to his family home to recoup after an injury and finds his parents have taken his moms new book club read to the bedroom…..he goes on hunt for the person who picked the club book……who knew he would find banter with her so much fun……

This is a cute and easy read having everything a romcom needs to keep you entertained……I loved the dynamics between Sloane and Ryan . It’s a sweet romance about learning to open up and learn what is really important to each other and how that fits into each of their lives.

I received a free copy from NetGalley and all opinions are my own.

I would definitely recommend this book to to my friends and book club, or any other book by Stefanie London
