I read the Sookie Stackhouse story and the Cat and Bones story.

I can't see how anyone who hadn't read the series would be interested in these. You read for the characters, rather than the writing. I do still love Sookie, but I'm no longer interested in Cat and Bones.

Talent takes a holiday.

On the plus side, I have a list of authors I will NEVER FUCKING READ. If you can't make it happen with a short story, I'm sure as shit not going to give you the chance to bore me to tears with a full length.

Maybe the authors after the moronic painfully predictable werewolf story are better. I doubt it. I don't care.

I have only read the One For the Money by Jeaniene frost section so my review must be segmented.

The novella was good. After a while all of her Cat and Bones stories resemble each other, but they are still fun to read.

I will most likely get to reading the other sections of this collection, but as I am presently having a Frost marrathon- I can only read her works (mainly about Cat and Bones).

I read the Charlaine Harris story and the J Frost story. Both were very good.

This is a collection of short stories. I really just wanted to read Charlaine Harris's, but I read a few of the others as well. I was hoping I would like some of the authors enough to want to read other books by them, that wound up not being the case. I was upset that I didn't care for Jeaniene Frost's story, because I had looked forward to reading her Night Huntress series. I hope they're better than that bit I read. *Sigh*

I read the Sookie Story & the Cat & Bones one...both great stories. I never imagined I would like short stories so much. Great development in both relationships.

The short stories Two Blondes by Charlaine Harris, The Boys Go Fishing by Sarah Smith and The Innsmouth Nook by Lee Martinez were fantastic! I liked the twists, obvious or not in The Hear is Always Right by Lilith Saintcrow and Home from America by Sharan Newman. The rest were at best ok. Just under 50% not bad for a collection.

I got this book just to read the Sookie Stackhouse story. I'm a big Pam fan and the thought of her and Sookie going on a working vacation together was too good a chance to pass up. The girls go to a strip club to see if the owner wishes to make a deal with Eric's new boss Victor but it soon becomes clear that the real situation is somewhat difference.

This was a fun story where we see the two blondes having some unexpected and amusing girlie time trying out as strippers. Pam is hilarious in this short story and I hope it gets released in a Sookie themed anthology at some point in the future. I put this one right up there with Dracula Night.
