I had low-ish expectations for the author that wrote Conan the Barbarian, but this was pretty great! Fun masculine sword and sorcery romps. Leiber influenced Terry Pratchett and was influenced by H. P. Lovecraft, two authors who I wouldn't have mentioned together, but are now to me obviously in the same line, centered by Leiber.

Hands down the best adventure stories I've ever read.
