Six star read for me. Actually, this is my second time reading this book and the plot twist hit AS HARD!!! It was capable of making me feel betrayed and frustrated by how much I was loving a certain character. Overall a wonderful book and I will take no criticism on this. I do see the Hunger Games resemblance and I've heard this also has a lot of Game of Thrones in it so I'm feeling really curious and eager to dive into that book series. Definitely looking forward to finishing this series and reading all this author has to offer. It's funny because I follow Victoria on Instagram and, while this book has had me in a chokehold for the past 24 hours she's chilling in Bahamas LOL love her.

Honestly, I’ve had this book in my collection for a while now and haven’t opened it till just recently. I’m super upset with myself for not opening this book earlier. Really loved it.

I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a heart pounder. I wanted to throw my book one moment then hug it the next then throw it again.

I’m excited to say I am going to the store now to buy the rest of this series.

Just couldn't get into it, even though I finished it...I don't know if it's because I'm in the middle of a Stephen King run but I couldn't deal with the voice of this character. I liked the idea of the world and I think there's definitely loads of possibility in here, but I'm not sure it'll be my jam.

Um, whoa. This was a fantastic book. The plot of a seemingly below average girl who turns into a warrior with special powers no one can explain is a bit worn out, but holy guacamole, Aveyard makes up for a common storyline with plot twist after plot twist. Disregarding the ending, who did I ship more? Ugh, it was a constant back and forth. Cal was always so kind to everyone, especially Mare, but he was a coward when it came to doing the right thing in front of his father. He knew deep down that Mare wasn't less than just because the color of blood, but he refused to admit that her deserved equality. Then theres Maven (again, this is ignoring the last 30 pages). Ah, he was so sweet to Mare and he was willing to fight for the Reds which made me really like him, more than I liked Cal honestly. Buttt then the whole end of the book happened, and I was right back to shipping Cal and Mare.
My fingers are already twitching for the next book in the series. READ THIS BOOK. I'm not kidding, you won't regret it.

I am speechless....
Love the concept of the story and the way it is portrayed. I like how the difference is made between the silvers and reds and their appearance and the whole setup of the story the scenes and places are described well.

Taking about the story well.... I'm still in shock. But it has kept my interest all the way long. The beginning is quite similar to any movie or show. A girl rising from a lower society to a upper society tho I was expecting conspiracies and all but the ending was totally unexpected and left me with goosebumps.

I'm wrote this review almost half an hour from completing this book because I need to let things sink in. About Mare. Well I can sadly relate to her how she believed people so easily tho she pretends to be smart but she thinks with her heart and at the end was always betrayed.
About Cal. I feel sorry for him from the beginning till the end.
About Maven. I can only say that it's a love turned to hatred thing for him from my side . I Just Hate Him

I'm happy that tho mare have lost a lot in the end tho she gained somethings. And Cal, he is a soldier he will fight back for the right . Maven and the Queen (cannot be called a Queen for sure) , both will pay for their sins.

Most of the reviews I've read, stated mare was selfish and stupid. But I guess there's a thing similar between her and cal . They both remained loyal to their people and wanted to work for them. Tho cal was aware of the silvers but mare wasn't she could put her mind around all the things happening to her and rushed things. But what else can we expect from a 18 year old girl. Mare and cal both were betrayed by the person they loved.

Concluding my experience I love this book and I think I will love the series as well. Can't wait to read all the books of this series.

From all the super powers from the book I wish I had the one of changing people minds, erasing their memories and inserting new ones like Julian.
