You had me at The Water Fleas for the name of a soccer team. Could not stop laughing about that.

Squish learns a valuable lesson about winning once he becomes the team captain for his soccer team. Another success for the Holms!

I love the fun and the lessons to be learned here. As always, Squish provides laughs and groans as he bumbles and squishes his way through life.

Squish learns the important part of being on a team isn't just about winning. Loved this one!

Squish plays soccer! Too cute. Peggy's rain cloud moment was sweet too. I like the little bits of information tossed in there ("real science") as well as the comic of Super Amoeba. :)

As much as I like the Super Amoeba parts, I like it better when they're sidelines rather than a major part of the story as in this one.

These books are just fun - teaching morals and life lessons and science without being preachy or boring. I love the Holms!

Squish and his friends are all on the same soccer team and Squish has been named the captain. Being captain comes with both the desire to gave fun as well as the desire to win. Being a team also means teamwork and that means every single microbe on the team. Again, these are stories with real life issues that you'd think would be tired but they work very well. Everything comes off very realistic despite itself.
