Evie and Luc. Characters were handed 'supid ball' to make drama. Stupid. Frustrating.

I can't even explain why, but I'm obsessed with this series!

It's like this wild, hilarious, action-packed, totally out-there rollercoaster of a story! 👽

Evie and Luc? Total chills. Their chemistry? A mix of adorable and hot!

Loving all the twists and turns! Oh, and grilled cheese sandwiches 🥹

To be honest, I'm quite disappointed with this book. Evie has somehow turned into an idiotic and annoying girl, I barely could stand her. I totally agreed with Grayson's opinion about her. And some parts of the book dragged, like the chapter about the protest? Ugh. Just. Ugh.

The climax is also barely there. No surprises in who Evie was and all other revelations. I can't get how stupid they all are for not seeing this coming. It's just so obvious.

There are some redeeming qualities to this book, though. Some kick-ass scenes. And it's great to meet the Lux's cast again. Hope the next book will be better.

I love this series and I love Luc. The banter, the arrogance, the ridiculousness... It feeds my snarky, romantic soul!

It had a good balance of answering some burning questions while creating so many more.

So much happened in The Burning Shadow. I mean Evie and Luc were amazing from start to finish. Even if they were trying to kill me with all the sexual tension flying between them. Back to so much happening - I mean it. This book had endless twists and turns. At one point I thought I was going to get whiplash because I would starting thinking things were going to go one way -then BAM! This book is in a different state.

Not sure if that makes sense or whatever.. but just know that this kept me on my toes. I was really intrigued by this whole disease/sickness. Ever since it was introduced it has been on the back of my mind. So when people were starting to change due to the sickness and getting freakishly stronger - damn, I was in love with it all. Weird, I know but I wanted to know how it was happening so badly.

Then there's April. Oh April. Hated her in the first book and my opinion on her didn't change. She was very mysterious and a pretty good villain. Even if it was short lived. Not sad about what happened to her because karma.

Other than that, can people please stop dying? Especially that ones that I started to love. Hot damn. No more deaths please. I can't go into the third book and deal with more sadness.
