Nate Pearson and Amelia Fitzpatrick are childhood sweethearts, and they have the kind of love that everyone envies. At least, until it all falls apart.

It’s been three years since their divorce, and Amelia is still struggling to get back on her feet. When her ex husband comes sauntering into the bar she works at, she doesn’t know what to do. After all, she’s still very much in love with him, he just can’t ever find that out.

Nate Pearson has been a wreck without his wife, but all of that is in the past. Now he’s back in Bristol Bay, and he’s determined to prove to Amelia that he’s a different man. A man worthy of her love. But Amelia has her own secrets, and she won’t back down without a fight. Now Nate must prove to his wife that he’s worth the risk.

Holy. Freaking. Cow. This book was everything. Nate and Amelia’s story was both agonizingly angsty and heartbreakingly beautiful. This is second chance romance at its finest!!! I loved how Nate had to really work to prove to Amelia that he was serious, and that she didn’t just give in right away. They’re both broken, but I think their broken pieces fit perfectly together.

Amelia. She’s so bold, and stubborn, and brave. She’s been through so much, and yes, she has scars, but she soldiers on. I admire her for her strength. Nate. He’s been through a lot too, and I think he just kept pushing down his trauma without ever working through it, which is a huge part of his later problems with Amelia. I loved that that he loved her enough to become the man she deserved.

Their interactions were amazing to read about, the banter was hilarious and the tension, oh my! It is so incredibly obvious that these two are soulmates, even when Amelia was denying it. I completely recommend this book, this series, and Brittanee Nicole as an author!!!

Oh the angsty push and pull of Nate and Amelia’s story!  It had me feeling all the feels.  Miscommunication/non communication is one of my least liked tropes BUT this one was done so well and I loved the ups and downs! Brittanee Nicole NEVER disappoints!!
