Deliciously gory, horrifying, and brutal and I ADORED it. It keeps you hooked as you sprint through the pages, trying to determine just what fresh new horror you'll be faced with next. This is a fantastic series and I look forward to continuing it.

I read this comic around 12am cause I couldn't sleep.
But boy was this a weird comic. The art style & plot are really good. But those creatures man, they trip me out! I do plan to read the other two volumes in this comic series. Cause why not, it's basically one crazy roller coaster ride of psychological horror. :)

(I read this comic on Hoopla Digital for free. )

Although enjoyable, I was expecting more from this. I think part of the problem is that with a format like a graphic novel, there's not always as much space to dive into the storytelling and character development. There were aspects that gave me a taste of the delightfully horrific things to come, but I wanted more. And unfortunately, with the fast paced nature of the story, some of the characters were a little too underdeveloped for my taste. If each chapter had been twice as long, maybe that would have satisfied me.

I bloody love this series, I read vol 1 & 2 straight after one another so they have blurred quite a bit.

Overall it is gruesome, fast paced and thrilling. The concept of life, death the afterlife and acts of desperation are perfectly explored in this sci-fi-esq series. I think its bloody great and the best graphic novel series I've read in a while.

ALSO SPARK IS SO CUTE AND HE DESERVES SO MUCH MORE THE POOR ALIEN DEMON CREATURE!!!

Volume 1 of Gail Simone's Clean Room is an introduction to a heck of a world. If you're not into horror, this is quite possibly not for you, because it doesn't go lightly on the gore and weirdness. It's not just "oops, there's someone's intestines", but weirdnesses like a guy literally tied into knots, physically speaking.

I feel like, in a way, getting answers about exactly what's going on here would be an anticlimax; half of the experience is the wondering what the fuck is going on. Figuring out who the good guys are isn't straight-forward at all (actually, the answer is that there aren't any, but you've got to pick someone to root for -- or I do, at least).

The art and character designs are gorgeous, at least where they aren't gory or unsettling, and despite not being much of a horror-lover, I'm curious enough to continue.

I have no idea what's going on, but I like it!

This is a really weird and at times darkly amusing comic.

So glad I started this horror series. The art is vibrant, gruesome, and imaginative - everything you want in a good horror, but it's not the gore that fuels this story. The plot is truly unique and I can't wait for more.

A dark, twisty and genuinely compelling look at a secret society that's totally not that one in California, we swear (don't sue us). Curious to see where Simone is going with this, enough to pick up the next volume. Be warned - the artwork does not skimp at ALL on gore.

An interesting enough premise, but the first volume felt both too slow and too confusing/convoluted. I spent the whole volume waiting for the reveal to happen, to get at least one clue as to what's going on, and while a lot of screwed up things happen up until that point, I still can't say what's actually going on. I'm guessing it builds and reveals as the series goes on, but it was such a rough start I'm not that interested in trying to force my brain to follow the confusion for even more pages.
