Enslaving Ezmira was an amazing retelling about a tortured war hero and the woman who was able to see beyond his physical scars. The story was tragic and breathtakingly beautiful with the perfect amount of heat. It was everything I was hoping for.

Enslaving Ezmira
by V.T. Bonds

This was a retelling of the Hunchback of Notre Dam it's Bk4 in the Fairytale Fusions series. Ezmira is a dancer in a troupe that they were asked to come and perform at the King's coronation. Quasim has both been tortured physically and mentally and when he sees Ezmira on stage as he watches her he realizes she is the balm for his soul. This is definitely one to read it was so good.

JANA’S JOURNAL. Zero stars. DNF. The story is poorly and clumsily written, and not edited well. The main character is a Mary Sue and her love interest is a Gary Stu. They are both young people who are talented and skilled beyond believability. They also act wildly inappropriately and unprofessionally with each other including in front of others while on duty as officers of the ship. The premise and circumstances these characters find themselves in didn’t feel well researched or thought out. I just couldn’t take the story seriously.

CLAIMING THEIR DOLLFACE. Three stars. A much better read than Jana’s Journal, and edited reasonably well, but still could do with more work. The story runs at a breakneck speed and some crucial details, like how Rom actually succeeded at taking over the ship, are left out or glossed over. In some places the writing is handled crudely regarding intimate acts and could use more finesse.

OPERATION: PINPOINT. Four stars. I really enjoyed this story! The dynamic between Ravenna and Dravos was really well done and the plot was compelling. A bit clumsily edited in places but the author wrote with a lot of heart and obviously cares a lot about this universe. I’d be interested in reading more in this series.
