Another excellent addition to an action-packed series. Ten times the drama though, but that's not a complaint. Tons of complications for complex character Quentin, and what an ending! Talk about a fierce cliffhanger!

Loved it. I'm surprised how much I enjoy these books considering my indifference to (American) football.

Once again, I find myself indulging in my love of fictional sports and underdogs, and once again Scott Sigler kicks narrative ass, but he leaves us on a cliff-hanger.

It's a real roller-coaster ride for Quarterback Quentin Barnes, and I'm hoping that YA writers everywhere look at this and think about giving their characters this kind of growth.

1) Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

2) Genre: Sciens Fiction

3) Synopsis: Quarterback Quentin Barnes enters his third season at the helm of the Ionath Krakens. He's re-shaped the team in his image, and the time for excuses is over -- it's win, or be replaced.

4) Feelings: I love this series. I really do. It has football and aliens. How can you not like that? I am a little worried about where the series might be headed but I laughed out loud several times during this book. I even think about getting some sort of Quentin Barnes jersey I like it so much. I can't wait for the next book (well I can because I could never quite talk myself into buying the 34 dollar exclusive copy).

5) Final recommendation: Wonderful series and this book rocked. They are fun to read and listen to (Scott Sigler has these out in podcast form is you really want to give it a try.) I highly recomend it if you are an action or football fan.

I have the hard copy, but listened to the podcast. It was a fantastic dip into the GFL (Galactic Football League) I did not appreciate the cliffhanging ending, but as I have the next in the series, it is not a terrible thing. I am really liking Quentin Barnes world, and look forward to every new bit.

I really enjoyed the first two books but this one was to predictable. When Quentin's "dad" was found I instantly knew he was not his real dad. I also didn't enjoy how short some of the games were described. Some were just a paragraph, just wish it had some more depth in the game aspect. I really did like what happened in the epilogue and like the mystery it is giving the series. Can't wait to read the next one. Overall the series is awesome but this book just fell short of its predecessors.

A great third trilogy from Scott Sigler. He does a nice job growing as a writer, foreshadowing events throughout. Amazing world he created. Quite the nailbiter ending...so I guess we do not have a trilogy...but expecting a forth book.
