Ein spannendes Buch. Die Stimmung die Favel Parrett durch ihre klare, nüchterne Sprache verbreitet passt wunderbar in das graue, trostlose und hoffnungslose Setting des Buches. Allerdings hätte die eine oder andere Figur noch etwas mehr Arbeit gebraucht. Jeff hat überhaupt keine Tiefe und wirkt wie ein Pappaufsteller nur Mittel zum Zweck ähnlich ergeht es mir mit Joe. Ansonsten definitiv empfehlenswert und sicherlich keine leichte Kost.

Wow, the HSC markers must eat this shit UP. Great if you love nature imagery and long flowery monologues. Not great if you're searching for a plot.

A very dark and heartbreaking book. You feel hope for the children but there's no clear way out for them. Heartwrenching and devastating.
