I’ve been wanting to read this book for years but had never come around to it. This book was a great reminder of how important education is and how we still have a long way to go before every child gets to go to school. But it’s also encouraging to see how someone can dedicate their life to fighting for this right. Her story is very inspiring and I’ve really enjoyed reading about her perspective on life in general as well.

This would be a 5-star book but I just had a hard time at some points to get through the more information packed chapters. I understand of course that the history and politics matter but it was sometimes hard to assimilate all the information.

Malala tiene un alma muy linda y es en definitiva alguien a quien admirar. Con tan solo diez años ya aspiraba a cambiar el mundo que la rodeaba… espero esté viviendo una vida pacífica rodeada de quienes la aman.
.
Malala is a beautiful soul and truly someone to admire. Barely 10 years old and aspiring to change the world around her… hope she lives a peaceful life surrounded those who love her.

This book took me a few months to finish just because it was so sad and therefore hard for me to read. It’s obviously nonfiction so everything in this book was the truth. It was also very slow paced. But the story was very inspiring, and it was so interesting to see how different the culture is in Pakistan to the culture where I have grown up. So in summary, story was enlightening, writing was good.

I didn't like that this book jumped around so much, I couldn't really keep track of what what happening in the world because of it.
