I've read this so many times...Calvin and Hobbes was the best comic strip ever. Better than Peanuts--yeah, I said it.

The eight collection of the wonderful Calvin and Hobbes comic strip. Full of hilarious, thoughtful, insightful, cynical, non-plussed and surreal moments as Calvin explores the reality of death, life, and the average existence of a 6 year old boy in 1980's America. Reactions can range from laugh-out-loud to subtle nods of agreement at this brilliant reflection of life. Both a time-capsule from that time and still relevant, if you only read one comic strip, read this.
This is the first of the larger sized volumes and the change of the colour pages which used to have 2 jokes (the two-panel set-up and delivery followed by a longer, related gag), but now only has one.

Sadly this is the only Calvin and Hobbes I've read. What a completely fantastic comic strip (especially compared to the crap they print now). Must! Read! More!
