New background story, ominous going-ons, battles, broken bones, some humour, exams, and much more. This was such a great volume! I really enjoyed it and I cannot wait to read some more of this series (and pray that my library adding up to volume 10 (+ another library also having some random volumes) isn't a jinx but means they may actually add more + also other series).

Another great installment in the series. I'm getting close to catching up to where the anime has reached for now. It'll be really interesting when I start reading stuff that I haven't seen before. Oh, and I absolutely love the random pages that have background on the characters or their outfits or behind the scenes details about the series. I just think it adds a rather cool element to the reading experience.

Oh, and I read this as part of the Manga Madness Readathon.

End of hero killer Stain arc to first half of final exams, ending with Bakugo’s origin and the beginning of their final.

I’m assuming Bakugo’s origin, aka finding out most of his ideals coming from being the best = winning, is why Bakugo’s on the cover of this volume. Funnily enough we don’t get nearly enough of him in this, but we get so much of his excellent growth in the series he could be justified in being the cover of several volumes.
