I'm not going to go too in depth. A friend referred this book to me because she loved it. I, on the other hand, knew what was gonna happen about 3 chapters into it. It's highly predictable. If you've read 'The Fault in Our Stars' you know how this book will go. Instead of cancer patients, change it to a quadriplegic and his care giver.

I was hoping for a surprise ending (since there's another book) but it didn't happen.

I had to sit on this for a bit before I wrote a review. This book was beautiful. Slow to start up, for me, but well worth it. It really reinforces the fact that we cannot fix people, we can only be there for them. Love them, be a light for them, make their lives easier, but we cannot fix them. We cannot simply eliminate the demons in people's lives and we cannot truly understand what it's like to be in someone else's shoes until we are.
