I think this book might be perfect. It’s vivid and sad and hopeful and lovely, blending magical realism with concrete emotion in a beautiful story.

This book has so many of the things I enjoy in a contemporary novel. Lovely romance, a little bit of magic, reflective personal growth/coming of age, publishing industry…. 

I don’t know if I dare say it is a perfect book for me, but it pretty much is.
