This is such an amazing series, and each book keeps getting better & better. It can be read as a standalone, but it's so much better to read each book, as you get a better feel for who everyone is. As with every book on the Maine Men series, I couldn't put it down. I'm so excited for Levi & Noah's story next!

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily gave my honest review.

4.2 star read for me. This whole series is just very low angst and sweet. So we have met Aaron many times before in previous books and he was the 'straight' guy in the group of loyal friends in the Maine Men series but things change for Aaron when he meets Dean a painter who has returned to Maine and returning to his roots.

What I truly enjoyed was how Aaron and Dean started as friends, brought together by an internal loneliness but they truly seemed to find someone who they genuinely connected with. Although this is a bi-awakening for Aaron, you know in a group of friends as tight as his there would be no fear or issues of acceptance coming from external sources for him.

A fun and light, low angst read.

**Do Not Read if you haven't read the previous books in the series!**

This was a Low angst, bi awakening that was actually sweet AF. Aaron, the confirmed bachelor, and Dean who has spent years nursing a broken heart were just so beautiful together. I loved how open Aaron was to discovering his bisexuality with Dean. He'd been around queer men all his life. It was nothing to freak out about in his eyes. Their love story flowed so easily. I honestly think this was the least dramatic of the whole series.

I loved seeing all the Maine Men again. They are a bunch of ball busters, but that's what makes them so great. Their bonds of friendship have lasted through so much and I love how they are always there for each other. Levi especially is always willing to lend an ear to a friend and I cannot wait to read his book. He's the last one last, apart from Noah who hasn't found his HEA. We've been teased in every book that Levi had his heart set on someone. Now that we know it's Noah, I'm looking forward to reading all about it even more!

Sweet bisexual awakening romance!! Really enjoyed the nuanced, thoughtful writing and the way the MCs grew throughout the story. Aaron and Dean are both wonderfully threedimensional characters, and they feel very genuine and authentic.
Dean and Aaron become friends first, lovers later, which really fits them. Seeing them start to fall for each other, even when it wasn’t part of the plan, was lovely. There’s a tiny bit of angst as they struggle with the self-imposed parameters of their relationship and yearn for more while being in doubt as to where the other stands. Loved that! I also really liked how Dean’s painting was woven into the story and how it reflected his personal journey.
The outward similarities between Lyle, Dean’s ex, and Aaron are understandably cause for concern for Dean, and I loved him for not judging Aaron based on Lyle’s behavior and for trusting Aaron and judging him on his own merits.
The secondary characters, most of them the MCs from the previous books in the series, were of course wonderful and very well-rounded. They are a big part of why all the books in this series feel so heartwarming and cozy. The new secondary characters, Dean’s entourage, were great as well, although I’d have loved to have a bit of a word with Ash and Jon at some point—well-meaning busybodies! Grammy is feisty and loving; she really stands out. Love her! I am also left in dire need of Levi’s story. Need it. Want it. Now. Please and thank you.

This is the sixth in the Maine Men series, and it follows Aaron who is ostensibly the 'straight' one in the group.

It's actually the case that Aaron isn't as straight as he always thought he was. This is a bi-awakening story with one confirmed bachelor and someone who is recovering from a bad break-up and them finding their HEA together.

I loved how open Aaron was to discovering his sexuality, there were no freak outs, just (sometimes hilarious) converstaions with his friends and family. Aaron has a group of friends that aren't straight so that part, the bi-awakening, was completely natural for him and it was done really well.

I loved both Dean and Aaron, although of course I'd met Aaron in the other books, it was good to get to know him a little better. I liked Dean too, and loved getting to know him slowly and seeing his relationship with his brother. These two were honestly the sweetest together, I loved seeing them slowly fall in love and how open and communicative they were each step of the way.

There's very little pining or angst in this book, it's instead a sweet, bi-awakening story of two lonely souls coming together and finding happiness and I'm all in for the last book (although I feel it may be very different to this one)

I received an ARC from GRR and this is my honest review.
