This book was a little slower to start than the first two in the series, but once it got going I really loved Theo and Orson’s story. It was so funny, and so sweet, and at times stressful because you just want them to be happy, but then resolved so perfectly.
And my gosh, Orson 😍 He’s what book boyfriend dreams are made of. WOW. Julie Olivia knocks it out of the park (baseball reference, iykyk) once again.

Our Ride To Forever follows Theo, a young woman trying to get her yoga business off the ground while working at a theme park, and Orson, the owner of the local bar. Both have things they need and after a one-night stand turns into a multi-night stand, they decide to do what everyone who needs health insurance and tax breaks does: get married. But, it isn’t all sunshine and bees when things start to get too real for them.
Once again, Julie Olivia has caused me to pull an all-nighter. I finished this book in one day. Everything about Theo and Orson works so well, and I think they may be my favorite Honeywood couple right now. I love that the book starts with a scene in the present before taking us back in time to what happened to these two, both sunshine types in different ways.
Also, as someone that also struggles with my anxiety, I always appreciate seeing it represented, especially in men. Men’s mental health is still stigmatized more than it should be, but I hope depictions like this make a dent. This book reinforces why it’s important to ask for help in all aspects of life, even when it feels embarrassing or like you are a failure.
I also related to the parent situation as someone that is estranged from my mother. It’s difficult to throw yourself back into that, but it’s easier with a support system, which is represented well here.
And, I am very excited for the Their Freefall At Last after all the Ruby and Bennett hints and how this one ended.

This was probably one of my favorite books in the Honeywood series. We’ll see if that is still the case for when Ruby and Bennett’s book comes out…It was a perfect little romance with no third act break-up!! Orson is my favorite character, aside from Lorelei. I’m glad he finally got his story ❤️

Ahh, this book GOT me. Not only was it adorable and full of great spice, but it almost had me tearing up and how sweet some of it was. And bonus? NO SECOND ACT BREAKUP. Honestly a masterpiece. I can’t wait to go back and read the other two books in the series!

OMG, this book! I really enjoyed the first 2 Honeywood books so was over the moon to receive an ARC of this one but it honestly blew all of my expectations out of the water. It’s fun and lovely, and the spice?! Good god. Julie said this was her spiciest book yet and I was still so unprepared for some of those scenes. The chemistry between Theo and Orson is immediately palpable, but I loved that we then get to see their friendship develop before they’re physically intimate again and you can see why it works. They’re so fun but wholly supportive of each other, whether it’s chasing their dreams or making sure they’re well and healthy and happy. I am just obsessed with them both and I don’t think I’m going to recover anytime soon. Again the side characters are such a joy and it was great to read to catch up with so many of them and get excited for that final book! Julie has such a talent for making her characters endearing whether they’re in one scene or the whole book and it makes every trip to Honeywood a dream.

Doing it for the Insurance

I didn't know I was going to love this couple as much as I did. I have been so wrapped up in wanting Bennett and Ruby's story that I just didn't look at Orson and Theo's. I also didn't realize how much I was going to relate to Theo as much as I do. It was all such a wonderful surprise that made me so happy and found me a new book boyfriend.
The Characters
Theo: Lord have mercy, I loved Theo so much. I really enjoyed her internal dialogue and felt like I could relate to her a lot more than I have with a lot of FMCs lately. I enjoyed how she tried to be gentle with herself, despite thinking that none of her friends saw her as their "everyday friend." It's something I struggle with as well because I also see myself as the vacation friend. Seeing her get put first, truly first, was something that I needed to see. It reminded me that someday, I will find my peanut butter cracker loving weirdo.
Orson: I haven't thought a whole lot about Orson through the series. Like I said, I have been a little distracted by Bennett and Ruby (mainly Bennett because I just know I will be writing similar thing about him the second I finish his book. Orson honestly came out of the fucking gate for my heart. He looked at me within the first 30 pages and stole my heart the same way he did Theo's. Am I complaining? No. Is he going on the book partner list? Yes.
Things I Loved
I honestly loved this book to bits and pieces. It meant the world to me. I loved how Orson was not the one to truly stand up to Theo's family and how Theo didn't magically fix Orson's anxiety. There was so much that I loved about this book, but I loved them together more than anything.
Things I Didn't Love
I don't know that there was anything about this book I did not love. It all had me so wrapped and tangled up I was having to force myself to take breaks to eat and sleep. I wish I had the chance to read it cover to cover in one sitting but it just wasn't meant to be.
The Final Verdict
I don't know that I can recommend a book more. Do I have to go on an expedition to Mt. Everest to scream it to the world? This book feels worthy of it, so if y'all see me on a plane, mind your own business.
