Read this for a Battle of the Books competition at my Elementary School. It was interesting. A bit slow at times. Solid 4/5⭐️

Sweet, wholesome story of 4 orphaned children who take care of each other after running away from a “cross” grandfather they’ve never met. Finding a boxcar, they begin their adventures living alone, until a series of event lead them back to confronting their fears.

We are a homeschooling family, and I read a book to my kid every month. We read this book for the Month of July as that what was voted on for Homeschool Book Club! My kids loved this book, and can’t wait to go to book club and discuss this book. We will continue reading all the box car children books.

I read these books growing up, and loved them! It was so fun to listen to and experience this first one on audiobook with my boys on the way to and from school. We all really enjoyed it, and can’t wait to listen to more! My fourth grader and I agree on giving it four stars/siblings (Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny) 🧑🏻🦱👩🏻👧🏻👦🏻, and my first grader wanted to immediately rewind and listen to it all over again, and gives it “ONE HUNDRED STARS! ALL of the stars!!!” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ to infinity. 🤩
