I put on the audiobook while painting, telling myself I’d only paint for an hour or so. I found myself lost in Edward’s journey and I couldn’t go to bed until I heard the end. What a sweet and beautiful tale! Kate DiCamillo never fails to tug on my heart!

Saw this book on many lists - had really high hopes. It just didn't quite work, couldn't imagine it really keeping a child's interest and could be a good readaloud if the reader was exceptional.

Beautiful writing, settings and narration in the audiobook that we listened to on a long drive up north. Sort of felt inspired by The Velveteen Rabbit.

beautiful, heartwarming read about love - perfect for getting out of a reading slump. Just as magical as I remember from when I was a child, and a reminder to hold your toys close.
