The mystery and the action were the best parts of the book. The romantic relationship wasn’t very developed, but it was entertaining. The love scenes were fade to black, but there wasn’t much tension before hand.  The extra characters weren’t developed because we didn’t have much time with them. we got a quick résumé for why they were in the story, but not very much interactions between them. I would’ve liked to seen more of the group dynamic. But the FMC and MMC had a lot of page time and they were fun to watch.

A bit of a why and who dunnit. Claire is being targetted and she doesnt know why - an attack at home leaves her injured, someone's rifled through her home files, nasty items left at work. The police have done all they can, so who is she gonna call? A friend of her work colleagues brother, thats who! He seems to be a real life action man, but with a soft heart that Claire finds as they back track through her life to find out the why so they can figure out the who.
A fast paced romp through snowy winter weather with plenty of high tension car chases, desperate situations and bad guys to make you sweat.
Enjoyable read, probably a 3.5 but I liked it enough to rate at 4.

It was very enjoyable, this book and a quick read. Lots of excitement so it pulls you in nearly immediately. Kind of love-hated the ending but only because I love-hated the road to falling in love for the main characters. Not saying it was bad, just not my cup of tea I guess or predictable maybe or something. Can't explain it.

But all in all, not a bad book. I would recommend this book is you need a quick action-y story and a few hours to kill. I am going to read Vidler's book Prime Target, which features the same security company as this book.
