Because they fear us Tim 21, because they were hurt, and wanted to hurt something back.
Because they are human.

I dropped this for a couple of days, maybe? because my novel reading took over.
i really hate the dismissiveness of the father of robots himself, to the feelings of robots in general, it doesn't take too much thinking, to realize that robots as complicated as these presented in the story, are capable of emotion, making them very very close to humans.
But this could very well be the Main needle mover in this story, The Robot's got fed up with humans treating them like they are Objects, and decided to Revolt, Attack on Titan style baby.
Can i say that i am really glad that Driller was not killed? He is my favorite character in the story so far.
The dog is the cutest and the most noisy creature ever, but did you notice even the dog is capable of emotion, when the big guy growled at him, the dog became dead silent, and he is a freaking cheap robot dog, which can give us a pretty strong idea, that if the cheapest robot, can show human emotions, it means every single robot in this story, is as capable if not more!
