Moderate: Infidelity, Sexism, Racial slurs, and Infertility
Minor: Death of parent, Death, Vomit, Xenophobia, Violence, Pregnancy, Misogyny, Islamophobia, Slavery, Racism, and Ableism
Many of the sexual interactions in the first half of the book are sexual assault (unclear if the characters read those as rape). Many interactions start with when the characters are asleep.henrismum's review against another edition

Audiobook (All of my entries on The Story Graph are audiobooks.)
Why I added this book to my TBR pile: I love Sherry Thomas' Lady Sherlock series and I was surprised when this site described one of her mysteries as a romance. That led to me to realize Thomas is more known for her romance writing, so I wanted to see if she wrote love stories as well as she wrote mysteries. I picked this book because it featured a woman doctor. I didn't realize it was part two of a series. I don't think that matters though. *I also picked this to explore the possibility of writing romances.
Will I read more of the series?
The narrator was Anne Flosnik. She has a good sensitive voice, but just a little whiny.
Moderate: Medical content, Infertility, Grief, Death of parent, War, and Sexual content

M/F, historical romance, estranged spouses, she's the daughter of an earl and a doctor, he's the boy next door who grows up to be a mathematician/adventurer/professor who has always loved her
I reeeallly wish I would have read the content warnings about this one before starting because I def would not have picked it up. That's what I get for just picking up another book straight from the library's (virtual) shelves instead of perusing reviews first.
The premise is good - there's an unknown reason for why she asks for an annulment and she shortly thereafter she runs off to India. Fast forward a few years and he is sent to find her and bring her back to London because her father's health is failing. The problem for me: both of the characters creep on the other while they sleep! Even if it's implied that the other person is enjoying the acts... this is not my cup o' tea.
