This book was kinda wild but I liked it. The sex scenes were good! There were some sketchy ones though.
Having sex with your spouse while they are asleep, without thei  consent beforehand.  Yikes!

Gotta love a second chance romance, but the battle was intense. And I'm still not 100% sure their relationship is all that healthy but it's fiction so I like to think they worked on it.

First Second in series - The Marsdens
Audiobook (All of my entries on The Story Graph are audiobooks.)
Why I added this book to my TBR pile: I love Sherry Thomas' Lady Sherlock series and I was surprised when this site described one of her mysteries as a romance. That led to me to realize Thomas is more known for her romance writing, so I wanted to see if she wrote love stories as well as she wrote mysteries. I picked this book because it featured a woman doctor. I didn't realize it was part two of a series. I don't think that matters though. *I also picked this to explore the possibility of writing romances.
Will I read more of the series?     Probably Not     Maybe    Highly Likely Part of this book was as bad as the cover suggests: heaving bosoms and throbbing manhood. By the end, I made peace with that and enjoyed the story. But, this bothered me: The male lead has sex with his wife while she sleeps. Sounds like sexual assault to me, but somehow she enjoyed it?? Although eventually she asked him to stop.
The narrator was Anne Flosnik. She has a good sensitive voice, but just a little whiny.
