This series really hit its stride with this novel. The kids stowing away on the ship was a different take on their flight, so that added a new and interesting dimension to the saga. The kids also really came into their own when they spent time alone and had to face unique challenges without any support.

I've been speeding through this series little by little and it doesn't disappoint! The series, as it goes on, continues to get better with each book. Everything Aiden and Meg go through, show the true struggle and difficulty that they have to trudge through to accomplish their goal. I appreciated the display of difficulty that they had to experience in this book particularly. It shows the length of their true desperation and the dire state of their situation. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

Fast paced page turner. I used to love this series and have fond memories of racing through the volumes.
