This was fine, I thought it would teach me a lot more about Viking culture and peoples a bit more specifically but it was really focused on what the title pitches which is fair I suppose. It's very much about the Vikings relationship with London itself as a city and who was important to know about if they had a connection to London. It also taught me a bit more about London as a city and place in the UK, even separate from Vikings.

Enjoyable read on the history of London during the Viking Age in Britain. I’ll be honest I skim read some bits, just because there is a lot of historical medieval difficult about individual characters that I wasn’t massively interested. But overall this was good read and gave me a new view on the city of London.
