A lighthearted comedy about a chef who moves to LA to escape her tight-knit but interfering Portuguese immigrant family (4 older brothers!) and winds up working as the personal cook for a famous, but insecure movie star. And falling for said movie star's older brother, a CGI specialist who has spent most of his life fixing his neurotic little sister's problems.

Chloe's definitely NOT looking for a Fixer: "Some women even liked fixers, liked having someone in their lives who took care of things. Chloe could understand that sometimes, a fixer's attentiveness was kinda romantic. She didn't find it romantic, though. She didn't even like it" (Kindle Loc 1247). In fact, as the youngest child in a big family, and the only girl, too, Chloe has spent most of HER life taking care of others, and resisting others' attempts to run her life.

But Brand's caretaking ways are so ingrained, it's hard for him to even see when he's crossing Chloe's lines, even after she explains what's bugging her. It's going to take some fast talking, some hot sex, and some real, honest negotiation if these two strong-willed people intend to turn their combustible chemistry into something that lasts longer than the inevitable explosion. Oh, and a dog enamored of a peacock, an unexpected heterosexual cross-dresser, and some seriously delicious diva moments, too. So funny, so good...
