Update 18/10/22

I didnt recall anything about this one, so it was refreshing to read it again, the plot and culprit was very obvious (maybe I remembered) but it really jumped out at me.

Its a shame I have again come to the end of this series, I do hope more will be translated and even like before the Bruno novels with the Colonel. He seems an interesting protagonist. I guess I will have to learn Italian!

These are underrated novels, if you like Maigret, Montalbano or Bruno novels these would be right up your street.

Original Review
Superb conclusion to the six (at time of reading) Inspector Bordelli novels, I really enjoyed this one and I hope that more of the series gets translated.

I enjoyed meeting the usual suspects and we made a new friend in Colonel, who also has a series of his own, I hope they are translated too.

I concluded before the big reveal who I thought the murderer was and I was correct in my assumption.

I have to say this series of novels has been one if my favourites, certainly up there with the top detective fiction. I hope one day to visit Florence and relive the escapades of our beloved Inspector Bordelli.

Until next time Franco
