Grogan puts into words the beauty of the bond between humans and dogs. As he says on the very last page, “Dogs are great. Bad dogs, if we can really call them that, are perhaps the greatest of them all.”

what I like:
My favorite parts were when John was saying what Marley was saying/Thinking.

What I didn't like:
The ending
You just going to end the story and not tell us whether or not you adopted Lucky!! btw they didn't adopt lucky because he was abused in his old home and wouldn't do well in a home with three kids.

Overall:
I do not like to read nonfiction books but this was recommendation from a friend and john just has such a way with words. Full honesty the movie does not do this book justice I would 100% recommend this book to any dog lover.
Many times throughout this book John makes you glade you don't own a dog yet at the same time makes you wish you had one.
