This was SUCH a good book! So beautifully written, and almost impossible to put down. While this is in no way a horror story, this book is scary in showing just how fast everything can change. The isn't about how the world ends (the Georgia Flu), it's a story about how we pick up the pieces afterwards. Things you could never have imagined doing become commonplace and normal.

I can't recommend this book enough. I won't go into a recap since it's already been done here numerous times, but just reeeeeead it. I'm so sad that I'm finished with this. This is one of those books that's gonna be impossible follow.

This is one of the best books I’ve ever read. Wonderful weaving of different timelines and voices in a way that isn’t confusing and enriches the story. It will be with me for a long time.

Loved it. So weird to read about a society that collapsed due to a pandemic but loved it. Characters were great, the way things were tied together was great. Loved the different timelines and perspectives.

I read the book quickly because I did not want to be in that world any longer than necessary.
I liked the spider-web effect of humans being connected inadvertently, their stories crossing and combining and influencing one another. It reminded me a bit of Cloud Atlas in that way- life connections, world and civilization over time. I personally just don't like to feel panicked about how I would probably die without my prescription medication and then what would my children do?!

I recommend the book to people who are not like me and can separate themselves from the fiction they read. Now, off to go read something happy & light, in which 99.99% of Earth's population is not dead.
