I'm not usually one for zombies but wow! This book was fantastic, a wonderful twist on the fantasy genre. While I don't know much of Welsh mythology it's something I've wanted to learn more about and it's so cool to see a book incorporate it! There's romance, although the plot isn't thick with it, and the adventure you're taken on is beautiful. Sincerely wish there were more books like this, that explore lesser known history and mythology, and incorporate horror elements without spooking you so much you cannot sleep!

This book would make a great movie.

I appreciate the strong female character. The conversations and reactions of the characters were believable and relatable, which can often not be the case in fantasy writing, I've found. Very easy to read writing style and a great story. I will read more from this author.

3 stars.
This book was good but there was nothing special. I guessed all the plot twists a while before they happened and so it didn’t shock me. I really enjoyed the concept of this book though

I love the vibe of this book!! It’s also the first book where I’ve been perfectly fine with (the fantasy equivalent of) zombies.

It was cute. The whole thing felt a bit predictable. An interesting twist on zombies. A fairy tale.

I love the characters, action, and the romance. the writing isnt anything special, but the book doesnt feel rushed, which is saying something for a fantasy standalone.
