I feel so conflicted about this book! I love forbidden/taboo romances and the first 60% was so good but then it got kinda repetitive with the "I can't have you" trope so idk but it was still enjoyable

Deliciously Sinful

Dancing With Sin is one of those books that makes you question your morals. I found myself filled with dread as Alice and Ethan begin to fall in love, and then while caught up in the enthralling rollercoaster, that dread warred with me rooting for them despite the heartbreak everything would cause.

Being inside the mind of a woman who falls in love with a man while constantly battling herself and trying to keep them apart... well, grab your box of tissues and an emotional support animal because you’re going to need them.

A slow burn romance that will twist you up and leave you breathless. 10/10 recommend!

Forbidden???

So I finished it and I liked it for what it yes. I don't know if I feel like it was the best forbidden love story I mean younger sister falls in love with older sisters fiancee and vice versa fiance falls in love with the younger sister I mean could have been worse. Both the fiance and the older sister knew deep down they were not meant for each other they were just going through the motions so I guess I wasn't really upset with the "" cheating. I actually was OK because they didn't really do much when he was with Monica the emotions were involved the physical chemistry that tension was there which I guess is worse than basically physically cheating but like if the heart wants what the heart wants sometimes and in this case if I was the older sister I definitely probably would have gotten over it because I wasn't in love with them to begin with I was in love with the idea of being in love is what happened with Monica And she just couldn't let it go that they were not meant for each other it just fit in her plan at the moment.

Look I don't condone cheating but I guess the story didn't feel as forbidden as it should have been with the sister's fiance and everything because I didn't feel a connection with the fiance and the sister to begin with, So honestly it might be wrong of me to say this but I was OK with the cheating, Because at least they tried to avoid each other Sometimes fate has other plans

When you set out to write a novel about someone cheating, you take a huge gamble and appeal to a lot of readers' morals as you ask them to fall in love with those characters involved, despite the parts of you that want to believe that cheating is wrong. The delicate way in which Alexandria Lee has approached this story is to be admired, and the taste it leaves in your mouth is anything but the bitter resentment you’d expect to feel towards the other woman. In fact, you empathize and gaze into a side of love that is anything but rainbows and sunshine. It is raw. It hurts. It is self-sacrificing. And sometimes, it robs you of what you want most.

Leaving behind the life she’d built for herself in the aftermath of a breakup tainted by the affair of her ex and the remnants of a love she’d tirelessly clung to, Alice Monroe faces an even greater challenge when she moves in with her sister and her fiancé; the charming and oh so romantic Ethan Black. Temptations arise, secrets are forged, and lines are crossed.

Perfectly flawed, and reluctant to allow those forbidden feelings in, Alice is everything you want to believe the other woman not to be. At every turn, her delicate nature, her tender care for her sister, and her constant battle for all that would make her sister happy sees the readers' compassion and admiration towards Alice grow. Pair that with the pure and unrelenting love that Ethan has for her, and any romantic’s heart would be putty in the author’s hands.

The raw emotion, the resistance, and heartbreak exhibited at every turn absolutely blew me away. Beneath all the struggle, the empathy, and the withheld temptations, lies the promise of soulmates and the unexpected allure of this childhood dream that out there is 'the one'.

By her words, the author drew me into Alice and Ethan’s story. By the dangerous dance around to haves and have nots, these forbidden desires seized my heart. And by every shared breath, every tender touch, and every broken tear shed, my whole being was a slave to the emotions the author had orchestrated. My heart shattered and was beaten black and blue by the events within, but that sigh of relief and those tears of joy when the author stitched it back together again with that beautiful conclusion made it all worth it, and I’d do it all again in a heartbeat.

The forbidden romance laid out before me was hypnotizing and deliciously sinful. The tale of three lives haunted by the agonized whispers of pain and betrayal, caught in the crossfires of two unexpected souls that yearn for one another, the greatest romance I’d read in a long while. With its character’s that breathed upon the page, and the spells that Alexandria Lee wove with her beautiful imagery, I only wish that I could wind back the clock, pick up this book, and experience it all again as though for the first time.

For a story that will leave you breathless as your heart bleeds upon its very pages, look no further than Dancing with Sin. It is every bit as enticing, heartrending, and emotional as you’d expect, because, sometimes, there is no choice in who you love. And sometimes, it finds you in places unexpected.

“I would rewrite every star in the sky if it meant I could be with you, even if it was just for a day.” Though his voice trembled with emotion, he’d never sounded more clear. “One day with you is worth a lifetime with anyone else, Slim.”

Where do I start? I’m a sucker for forbidden romances. There’s something about the angst, the nerves, and the CHEMISTRY. God, the chemistry is probably what drives me the most to forbidden romances. Because I love reading about to people who just connect on every level. They can’t help but to be drawn to one another. And that’s exactly how it is for Ethan and Alice.

Ethan. My poor, sweet, broken boy. He had a lot going on emotionally, and to be real, a lot of that came from his mother. And to her, I respectfully say stay away Stella. Ethan just wanted to do the right thing. What was asked of him by the people I’m his life. Even if that meant he wasn’t truly happy. But he got there in the end. He took his happiness and made no apologies for it.

Alice. I felt for Alice a lot. When you spend five years with someone who gaslighted you the whole f*king time, it really messes with you and your way of thinking. She was always apologizing even for things she didn’t need, and she didn’t think she deserves to be loved. She bent over backwards to do things she thought would make everyone else happy. But she also got there in the end and decided she needed to be happy too.

Alice and Ethan helped each other work on themselves. They were both works in progresses and realized they didn’t have to suffer along when they be there to support each other instead.

All of that said, if you like forbidden romances involving the sister’s fiancé, then you should definitely give this book a read.

“You’re like a seed. You started off as this small thing burrowed inside of me that I tried to ignore was there, but you just grew and grew more each day until you were impossible to ignore. Now, you’ve taken over and are the only thing breathing any life into me anymore.”

Just perfect

This story is one of the greats, star crossed lovers, everything in their way figuring out how to make their love work. Slow burn, teasing, loving, wonderful story. I actually had to block the next line out to keep myself from skipping ahead before I read the line in front of me. Right up there with Nicholas Sparks stories, this is one you won't want to put down or miss.
