I loved/hated the characters in the best way!
The banter is incredible! Clever and witty.
I love a guy that is stubborn and sexy!
It was hot and it had all the feels!
The characters are great and the sexy times are incredible!
The secondary characters are fun and likable and add a lot to the story.

I love a forbidden romance/brother’s bf and this was a great one!
I felt all the emotions and couldn’t stop reading until I finished.
So good!!

Sweet and sexy

I enjoyed this novel from start to finish. I thought Juliana was smart, funny and just an overall likable character. I fell for Shane along with her.

Every word this author writes is reading gold. She is spot on when describing the human condition. Her word magic is so relatable that I cannot put her books down.

A fun read which I wish had some more character development and growth.

This book is 85% watching the h two everyone how she is independent and capable while simultaneously chasing the H with an utter desperation that is rare and disturbing.  Our H is completely unworthy of such devotion as he spends this time both screwing the h and also treating her like crap bc she is 13 years younger and his best friends sister. Constantly belittling this 26 year old woman for being a “little girl” who “isnt worth it”. Somehow showing up after every single date she has to taunt her.  No idea why she wants this a**hole but at the end they are outed to the brother which finally prompts him to defend himself (to the brother” by saying he loves her.  A few minutes of grovel and they are HEA.

This fulfilled exactly what I needed it to. It is angsty and romantic and fun. I really loved the premise and characters. Not to mention I was definitely hooked from the beginning. There isn’t too much to say other than this was a great time.

Gah!! This is one of my favorite troupes!! I devoured this book! Shane is Juliana's older brothers best friend making him the forbidden love. Juliana is Jack's little dister who everyone back home thinks she should just be a housewife. But she wants to be free and explore and not be kept. I loved all of the characters in this book. They all had me laughing my butt off!! Omg and this book had some hot moments. I had to stop and fan myself! whew!!! This was my first Fiona Cole books and it definitely won't be my last!!

She believed she could, so she did.

Imagine Me is my first book by Fiona Cole but it definitely won’t be my last. I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC of Fiona’s upcoming release, but I always intended on buying and reading this book, so getting it early was a nice bonus.

Within pages I fell in love with Juliana and this love only grew over the course of the story. Jules is a character I found myself really identifying with. We may share very different backgrounds but her values - about needing to be more than just a woman or some man’s partner/wife, to be valued as a person: an intelligent, clever, funny, spirited person - just resonated so well with me. And then her crazy imagination conjuring up various scenarios - that is just me all over - so Jules you definitely aren’t alone!!

“I liked to play this game with myself. I figured a lot of people did, at least that’s what I told myself to rationalise my overactive imagination. I would think of these extravagant situations that would never happen, but I’d let them play out in my mind and let my heart rate speed up as if they’d actually come to fruition.â€

Shane, on the other hand, is so gruff and unapproachable to begin with. But I could tell there was more there and as I got to know him, the more I loved this sexy, stern, hulk of a man. And by the end of the book, I was a complete convert to the wonder and gloriousness that is Shane.

Imagine Me dealt with some bigger issues than just a forbidden romance between an older man and his best friend’s younger sister. It was about the presence of patriarchy in today’s modern society and the impact of this on a young woman like Juliana who wasn’t afraid to go after what (or who) she wanted - even if it meant defying her family’s wishes or the wishes of those around her.

In saying that, Fiona has written a brilliantly steamy, romance that started off as a wonderful slow burn. I loved the lingering glances, long looks and the subtle flirting between Shane and Jules - even if I just wanted them to hurry up and get together!! Alongside these genuine lead characters were a cast of fabulous supporting characters and Fiona does a great job of them in Imagine Me. I laughed out loud so many times at Evie and Joelene’s antics (hope we get to see more of Jo!) who were absolutely hilarious!!!

I’m looking forward to reading more by Fiona Cole - especially going back to the stories of characters we see in Imagine Me. This was a fantastic story that I hardly put down once I started - Juliana and Shane hooked me and didn’t let go.
