Terrible ending. Literally what the hell the twist was not good and made no sense and then we get Clive dying as if it matters? Why does it end like he was the only one that mattered in the whole damn book? Literally so weird and annoying

a few red (...blue) flags sprinkled throughout ruined it for me. (a character referenced the "IDF"/IOF in a positive way and it went unchallenged, the mc described her ex writing zionist propaganda as something that made him seem smart and sophisticated to everyone (which was also left unchallenged), etc.)

also definitely written for the allo crowd, so (aside from the zionism) I probably would have enjoyed it more if I could relate to the mc or literally any of the experiences being described.

weird and thought-provoking but not compelling enough to recommend it.

I love how this book comes back full circle just like how life is. The twist is fun & necessary to show us that sometimes the answer is in front of us but we just couldn't see because of the mess we unintentionally placed before us. And sometimes all that is needed to do to clear up, is to talk. I minus a star because I find that the story, eventhough isn't abstract/dreamlike, can appear to be so and in some paragraphs the sentences are as equally abstract that it feels a little hindering to enjoy the story.
