With a grandpa who SPEAKS LIKE KANYE EXCEPT PARTLY IN YIDDISH, an all-over-the-place dog and a main character who sometimes has trouble figuring out who she is and where she fits in... what else could you ask for in a realistic middle grade girl novel? I laughed out loud at Grandpa Ace's sarcasm and got a little misty at his thinly veiled devotion to his granddaughter Zelly.

Loved this one too. Good sequel. #105--a book from the library

Zelly finally got a dog - after years of begging - and now if she can get a sleepover, life will be great. Well, it would be great if Ace-the-grandpa would act like a normal grandpa instead of going out with three girlfriends, and if Ace-the-dog could act like a normal dog instead of getting kicked out of "puppy kindergarten?" In order to get a sleepover, Zelly must get the Ace's under control.

Read aloud with Scarlett. Cute story of a girl and her puppy. Funny, lots of Yiddish, which is always fun.
