Reading of Joe Pickett's adventures is a fun departure from the usual detective story. I thought this one was exceptional. C.J. Box is a talented artist in using words to paint pictures..

Pretty good short story that makes you want a longer version. Joe found a truck underneath iced reservoir while checking licenses of ice fishermen.

This is a short Joe Pickett story. I was not satisfied with it but I was not dissatisfied with it either. I feel like it could have been longer. Maybe more of a novella-length. Just seemed a little too short. Introduced some new characters that would have been nice to dive a little bit deeper into them.
