Who would have ever thought that a story about ghosts and a dead body on a toilet would be so sweet and funny. The entire story was well-told and the plotting worked successfully without the need for any info dumps to keep the reader in the know.

A good story that is easy to get drawn into. It's neither depressing nor shmaltzy, which I quite appreciate in a story that takes place at Christmas time.

Nice voice and a cute story, but I wanted more information on what the curse was about and why the girls had to pay it off. Too many unanswered questions left at the end.

Another Tor.com short story.
I want to read more of this! I want to know about the curse and the ghosts and all the details. Why hasn't she put anything else on tor :( I will have to see if she's written anymore and pick it up.

The synopsis of this story, says that this a tale of two sisters under a mysterious curse...stupid me thought that by the end of it, I would know the nature and reason of it.
Alas, nothing. So basically we have two women who have to put up theater productions in different places, because of some curse... about which we won't find anything about it.
I would've liked to know when it started, for how long have they been doing it?
If they weren't the original recipients of the curse, who was it?
How did they come to "work" with ghosts?
