'Snoopy: First Beagle in Space' by Charles M. Schulz is the 14th collection by Andrews McMeel Publishing.

These collections are repackaged and colorized version of the daily strips with the Sundays included. There are a series of moon related comics, including ones about moon landers running in to Snoopy's relative Spike. Also, Charlie Brown sells peanuts at Peppermint Patty's baseball game, but he really wants to pitch. Snoopy and his scout troop get lost, then Charlie Brown gets lost when he goes to find them.

These are fun collections, but sometimes the strips can feel dated. This time around they don't. In a fun afterword, some really old strips are included with more moon related gags.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

Thank you netgalley for the chance to review. I did enjoy this book very much. It was a collection of peanuts comics. Not quite sure why the title is first beagle in space since most of the comics aren't in space or about space but I did enjoy it anyway. I would recommend this to a friend.

This collection is what I have come to expect from the Peanuts comics, charming humor and recurring characters. Although pitched to revolve around Snoopy in space, this graphic novel was lacking this theme throughout its entirety. There were several comics about the moon and space exploration at the beginning and end of this collection, with a brief feature containing space facts in the final pages. The comics featured were full of Snoopy, Woodstock, Peppermint Patty, Marcie and Sally, which was a nice treat. I have always enjoyed the more minor characters over Charlie and Lucy. Overall, this is a cute collection!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing a free PDF of this collection for review!

This fun beginning reader tells a Snoopy story and incorporates nonfiction information at the end, teaching children about the moon and about NASA's relationship to Peanuts over time.

I must say that this is the first time I read a Peanuts comic and I can assure you that it will not be my last.
I really liked reading the adventures of Snoopy and his friends and his efforts to be the first beagle in space.
This is a very good collection of different comic strip with various themes.
I would like it even better if it had more space themed ones, as the title suggests.

This is mostly a collection of various strips where Snoopy goes to space. He variously visits the moon, space, and Mars. But the whole book is not just Snoopy (which I thought was a shame, the title sort of implies differently.) We also get an extended story about Snoopy and the Beagle Scouts getting lost in the woods, the children at school, playing sports, and other Peanuts activities.
