I love Birdy's curious nature and her desire to learn. I'd have adored this as a kid.

Always enjoy Karen Cushman's writing. The second book I have read by her. As good as the first. Classic.

A nice young adult/middle grade book about a young girl coming of age. I found myself relating to Birdy while also getting frustrated with her, as I think any adult reading this book would. She grows and matures throughout the book and it would be a great book for girls around Birdy’s age, 14.

I know I read this...but I should probably give it a reread since I can't remember anything. hahahaha

This was a very short read yet very entertaining. The constant mischief of Catherine was very entertaining to read. What it lacked in atosphere it made up for in humour.
