reminds me so much with acts of desperation, another book that i enjoyed. definitely not an easy read for me because the atmosphere was so bleak and depressing but it was still beaultifully written and i cant help but think damn girl all this bc of a man?

A deeply claustrophobic exploration of a woman's mind after her husband announces his desire to separate from here.

I was uncomfortable and tense reading this. This is about a woman in the late 90s, in a different country to the US. The story is something I've heard from my aunts and mother - man leaves you for a younger woman, and you pick up the pieces. I think that I'd be stronger and wouldn't fall apart like Olga, but who knows

I liked parts (the first half & the last few pages) of this but overall it wasn’t for me. Quite frankly Olga is annoying and needs to grow up like sorry there’s no reason to be acting like that when you have kids…irdc about the nuance either. everyone in this book kinda sucks.
