Wow. Malala is incredibly inspiring and her story left me in awe. The things that happened/are happening in Pakistan are terrible and I only hope that the situation has or will get better soon, and I hope Malala continues to speak out for girl's education rights.

Was this a literary masterpiece? No, but it is a book I will always carry with me. Her empathy and bravery serve as example to us all. Love and truth prevail.

I accidentally downloaded the audiobook of the Young Readers edition, but I still got to learn more about Malala's inspiring story and life in Pakistan with the Taliban.

Well written memoir that was perfect for 7th graders. I found it to be a great look at new cultures and the story of a brave young woman!

Mir war erst nicht klar, dass ich hier die Jugendbuchfassung von Malala Yousafzais Biografie erwischt habe. Nach etwas Irritation habe ich aber gut ins Buch gefunden, bedingt durch ihren spannenden Werdegang einerseits und den flüssigen Schreibstil andererseits. Manchmal fehlt mir etwas mehr Kontext und Tiefe, aber insgesamt gibt diese Autobiografie einen guten ersten Einblick über das Wirken der Taliban in Pakistan, die Auswirkungen insbesondere auf Mädchen und Frauen und vor allem darüber, wie Malala sich für das Recht auf Bildung einsetzt. Abgerundet wird das Buch durch einen kurzen Abriss der Geschichte Pakistans, sowie einem Glossar.
